Description	:	From "Pioneers of the Peace" Nels Anderson was born in Norway in 1867 and while still a lad migrated to the United States. Settling at Hawley Minnesota he married Edith Pauline Peterson on November 1st 1896 and to that union were born three sons and four daughters. In 1902 they moved to the Melfort district in northern Saskatchewan and early in 1911 made Edson Alberta their home. In 1902 they moved to the Melfort district in northern Saskatchewan and early in 1911 made Edson Alberta their home. Toward fall Mr. Anderson came to the Peace River country, located land on Spring Lake and on August 29, 1911 filed in what later became the Dimsdale district. Here he built a log cabin and cached supplies in anticipation of bringing up his family. By June 1912 the Andersons and their seven children travelled by horses and wagon over the Edson Trail, enjoying the long camping trip in good weather. For the next five years Mr. Anderson continued to develop his farm until his death in 1917.
