Hauser, the son of Thomas and Nancy Hauser, was born near Whitten, Iowa, October 3, 1856, and died at his home in Whitten, Iowa, Feb. 3, 1928, aged 71 years and four months, his death followed a recent stroke of apoplexy. Hauser, the son of Thomas and Nancy Hauser, was born near Whitten, Iowa, October 3, 1856, and died at his home in Whitten, Iowa, Feb. 3, 1928, aged 71 years and four months, his death followed a recent stroke of apoplexy. On March 2nd, 1880, he was united in marriage to Ella B. Crider of Union, Iowa, and to them were given eight children. Mr. Hauser became a member of the Church of Christ in 1886 and till the close of his life was one of the most active workers of the church. He attended the services of the church the Sunday before he was stricken. Mr. Hauser was highly esteemed in the community where he lived all his life as a man of sterling character, standing for the highest ideals for right and truth in every phase of life the gracious hospitality of his home was the more emphasized by his genial personality which endeared him to those who knew him best. He was active in the civic and educational life of the community and was a valued advisor to his many friends. He leaves his wife, five children, sixteen grand children, three brothers, three sisters, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. A good man has gone. The funeral services were held Sunday P.M. at 2 o'clock in Whitten conducted by H. A. Wingard of the Church of Christ. The large concourse attending spoke a more beautiful tribute than can be spoken.
