Description	:	The Mathews Journal, Thurs, April 26, 1923 Mrs. Nettie White, well beloved resident of Dixie, this county, died suddenly at her home Monday night. She was missed by her husband from the bedroom during the night and upon investigation he found her sitting in a chair in a nearby room, dead. The funeral services were conducted at the home today by Rev. D. W. Jackson and interment made in the family cemetery. A large crowd of sorrowing friends attended these ceremonies. White; three sons, Messrs Wendell, Tyler and David White; three daughters, Mrs. Elva Ward, Mrs. Serena White and Miss Violet White; three sisters, Mesdames J. R. Thompson, J. C. Thompson and R. L. Evans and two half-brothers, Messrs C. C. and J. T. Simmons. She was a member of Mathews Chapel Church for many years, active in the church work, and a devoted christian. Her many splendid qualities endeared her to the large circle of friends who will mourn her passing.
