She was raised in this community and was married to Edward Downs, March 27, 1906 and to this union was born 4 children, Clayton, age 15, Harland, age 13, Marvin, age 6 and little Hazel, age 2. She was raised in this community and was married to Edward Downs, March 27, 1906 and to this union was born 4 children, Clayton, age 15, Harland, age 13, Marvin, age 6 and little Hazel, age 2. Her mother, one brother and two sisters have preceded her in death. She, with her husband and family, moved from this community to Tripp county, S.D. in 1909 and later in 1917 to the frontier country beyond the town of White River. Her girlhood acquaintances are grieved at her untimely death and offer their sympathy to the little family of children, who are left motherless in the world. May God in his tender mercy and divine power protect them and be their mother, who shall never fail. May the divine presence in their lives lead them in the path of life that shall make a mother proud of them. And if she can visit them from the spirit world, may she be make glad by their footprints in the sands of time.
