Morris, 71, of Frederick Road, Clarksburg, died Sunday, Nov. 22, at her residence. She was the wife at Jesse J. Morris. Born at Greene County. Va., Jan. 12, 1910 she was a daughter of the late Martin L. and Victoria Knight Shifflett. Mrs. Morris was a member of the Clarksburg Church of God and the ladies auxiliary of the church. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Hazel) Ward, Mrs. Barney (Ola) Ward and Mrs. George (Evelyn) Zimmerman, all of Clarksburg; three sons, Charles Morris, Clarksburg, Albert (Nick) Morris, Laytonsville, and Weldon (WT) Morris, Rockville; two foster children, Earl Shifflett, Frederick and Mrs. Margaret De Hart, Clarksburg; a stepmother, Mrs. Mary Shifflett, Green County, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Vessie Southard and Mrs. Arlene Hicks, both of Newport News, Va., and Mrs. Kathleen Shifflett, Charlottesville, Va.; four brothers, Ernest Shiflett of Gaithersburg. Dewey Shiflett and Norma Shiflett of Baltimore, and James Shiflett of Charlottesville, Va.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A brother, Clifford Shiflett predeceased her. Friends may call Tuesday Nov. 24, from 7-9 p.m. at the Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home Damascus. Mrs. Morris will lie in state at the church Wednesday from noon until the services. Funeral services will he held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Clarksburg Church of God. The Rev. B. F. Tucker will officiate. Interment will be in the Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
