Nicholas Holt, Jr, b. at Andover, Essex, MA, 1647; m. Jan. 8, 1679, Mary probably dau. of Robert Russell. He d. at Andover, Oct. 8, 1715, aged 68. His wife d. April 1, 1717. In consideration of which Nicholas jr. agrees to fulfill certain conditions, and to provide for his father until death, and afterwards to pay a certain sum to his mother-in-law. Andover, Essex, MA, Dec. 21, 1683; m. 1st, Sept. 16, 1708, Mary Manning, who d. March 3, 1716; m. 2d, April 12, 1717, Dorcas, dau. of Timothy and Hannah (Graves) Abbot. She was b. May 6, 1697; and d. Oct. 25, 1758, aged 60. They united with So. Parish church Dec. 6, 1719. He d. Dec. 1, 1756, aged 73. 10 ch. 3. Thomas, b. Andover, Essex, MA Aug. 16, 1686; m. (1) Dec. 14, 1708, Alice Peabody, born at Boxford, Essex, MA Jan. 4, 1685, d/o Joseph Peabody and Bethiah Bridges. She d. July 29, 1726. He m. (2) Nov. 16, 1727, Abigail (Poor) Fisk, wid. of John, who d. Nov. 29, 1766, aged 88. He d. Jan. 12, 1767, aged 81. 4. Abigail, b. Andover, Essex, MA, Nov. 23, 1688; m. Jan. 10, 1710/11, her cousin Paul Holt, born at Andover, Feb. 7, 1684. She d. Aug. 12, 1742. He d. May 7, 1742, at Hampton, Conn., to which place they removed. Their children were Paul, 2d, and Abigail who married Jonathan Kingsbury. Paul Holt was the the sixth son and ninth child of Henry and Sarah (Ballard) Holt. He was on the muster roll of New England troops at Annapolis Royal in October, 1710-11, but on February 22, 1726, he removed to Hampton, Connecticut. 5. Sarah, b. Andover, Essex, MA, March 10, 1691; d. unmarried Oct. 26, 1701, aged 70. 6. James, b, Andover, Essex, MA, July 23, 1693; d. in war Dec. 18, 1722. 7. Robert, b. Andover, Essex, MA, Jan. 30, 1696; m. 1st, May 22, 1718, Rebecca Preston, who d. at Windham, Conn., May 1, 1727. He m. 2d, at Windham Dec. 13, 1727, Bethia Peabody, born at Boxford April 3, 1681. She d. Feb. 6, 1742. He removed to Conn., about 1722; and was one of the number that composed the Congregational church at Windham on its organization July 5, 1723. 7 ch. 8. Abiel, b. Andover, Essex, MA, June 28, 1698; m. 1st, Feb. 12, 1721, Hannah dau. of Timothy and Hannah (Graves) Abbot. She was b. Oct. 19, 1695; and d. Feb. 11, 1751; m. 2d, Dec. 19, 1752, Sarah Downer, who d. at Willington, Conn., April 15, 1784. He removed from Andover to Windham, Conn., in 1718, and with his wife were among the early members of the church at that place, having united June 30, 1723 (church organized June 5, 1723). He d. at Windham, Nov. 10, 1772, aged 74. His deed of land at W. was from Nathaniel Kingsbury, and dated Dec. 6, 1717. 10 ch. 9. Deborah, b. Andover, Essex, MA, Nov. 16, 1700; m. at Windham, Conn., May 25, 1727, Benjamin Preston. 7 ch. 10. Joshua, b. Andover, Essex, MA 1703; m. Keturah Holt his cousin, daughter of Henry and Sarah Holt. She d. at Windham, Conn., Oct. 2, 1781, aged 90. He removed to Conn, about 1725, and settled at Windham where he died Jan. 26, 1787. He had the military title of captain. 4 ch. 11. Daniel, b. Andover, Essex, MA, 1705; removed to Windham, Conn., before 1730, where he m. 1st, March 31, 1731, Abigail Smith, b. 22 Jun 1706, d. 9 Feb 1752; m. (2), 26 Dec 1752 Kezia Russ (Rust), who d. at the residence of her son at Cherry Valley, N. Y., Sept, 1796, aged 87.
