Visitation was on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Rosholt, SD and one hour prior at the church on Thursday. Wake service was Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Nicholas Milton Brandenburger was born on November 23, 1940 in Hankinson, ND, to Nicholas and Mary (Braun) Brandenburger. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Catholic Church in Rosholt, SD. Nick attended school in Rosholt and graduated from Rosholt High School in 1959. As a young man, Nicholas began farming with his father and brothers and continued to farm all of his life, which now included his nephews. On June 20, 1987, Nick married Janette LeClaire Eneboe at St. John's Catholic Church in Rosholt, SD. Through his years, Nick enjoyed his days farming, riding snowmobile and restoring antique tractors. He participated in many parades with his tractors. Nicholas passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2004, at a Wheaton, MN hospital. Nicholas is survived by his wife Janette of Rosholt, SD; step-son John Eneboe of Rosholt, SD; brothers and sisters, Charlotte and Milton Lonnee of Garden Grove, CA; Evelyn Virnig of St. Paul, MN; Dorothy Huehn of Rosholt, SD; Walter and Avis Brandenburger of Rosholt,SD; Paul and Marlene Brandenburger of Rosholt, SD; Charles and Janette Brandenburger of Minneapolis, MN; Mary Ann and Donald Robertson of Kensington, MN; Shirley and Charles Lind of Irvine, CA; and Arthur and Connie Brandenburger of New Effington, SD; in-laws, Dorothy and Glen Schafte of Washougal, WA; Dale and Darlene LeClair of Battle Ground, WA; Lyle and Mary LeClair of Rosholt, SD; Roy and Fay LeClair of Tea, SD; Ray and Nancy LeClair of New Brighton, MN; Lonnie and Marsha LeClair of Fridley, MN; Linda Sand of Rosholt, SD; Dennis and Alice LeClair of Hot Springs, AR; Robert LeClair of Wahpeton, ND, and special friend Ray Pomploon of Rosholt, SD.
