Aug. 24. - A grieving mother Sunday held her dead baby in her arms for six weary hours while her husband drove her home to Kerman from San Luis Obispo. The baby, Nick Siliznoff, was the 3 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Siliznoff, who live at Olive and Humboldt Avenues. Siliznoff, notified that his mother was seriously ill, left for Santa Maria Saturday evening with his wife and baby. On the return trip Sunday the child suddenly expired in his mother's arms while passing through San Luis Obispo and the grief stricken couple continued toward Kerman, with Mrs. Siliznoff holding the body of her infant in her arms. The Siliznoffs informed Dr. J.C. Drake the child had been suffering from whooping cough for the last three weeks but that his condition did not appear serious.
