Obituary Nicholas Pepperd, son of Patrick and Bridgett Pepperd, was born in Norwood, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 17, 1877. He passed away in the Comanche County Hospital March 15, 1962, at the age of 85 years, one months and 26 days. Mr. Pepperd moved to Comanche county with his parents in 1884. He was united in marriage to Alma Elizabeth Todd February 22, 1905. They made their home on a farm southeast of Coldwater and moved to Coldwater in May, 1951, when their home was destroyed by fire. Mr. Pepperd has been a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1909. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ray McKee, Garden City, Kansas, and Elizabeth Pepperd, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son, John T. Pepperd, Coldwater, one brother, Tom C. Pepperd, Wilmore, Kans.; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, who passed away May 14, 1961; his parents, three sisters, five brothers, one grandson and one granddaughter.
