Description	:	Thanks to contributor #47226369; OBITUARY Born in Semond [sic], Illinois, July 30, 1874, Nick Sobiesczyk [sic] was 58 years and 5 months of age at the time of his death. When he was but a small boy he came with his parents to Howard county, in 1877, and was united in marriage in 1895 to Miss Mary Tyma locating in Sherman County. Here he engaged in farming until 1929 when his health failed him. He has been ill for the past four years, and had one operation after another, and much of his time was spent in hospitals at Grand... Read More	Thanks to contributor #47226369; OBITUARY Born in Semond [sic], Illinois, July 30, 1874, Nick Sobiesczyk [sic] was 58 years and 5 months of age at the time of his death. When he was but a small boy he came with his parents to Howard county, in 1877, and was united in marriage in 1895 to Miss Mary Tyma locating in Sherman County. Here he engaged in farming until 1929 when his health failed him. He has been ill for the past four years, and had one operation after another, and much of his time was spent in hospitals at Grand Island and Ord. He did not get a permanent cure for his illness, and passed away at the St. Francis hospital in Grand Island, November 29. The remains were brought to his home in Loup City and the funeral services were held Friday, December 2, from St. Josaphat's Catholic church in charge of Rev. Father Szczerkowski, and interment was made in the parish cemetery. He is survived by his wife, his aged mother, who resides in Ashton, two brothers, John of Boelus and Frank of Golden, Colorado, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Tyma of Boelus, Mrs. S. B. Jamrog of Ashton, and Mrs. S. Dilla of Grand Island. Six children also survive him, they are Joe and Anton of Loup City, Ed of Columbus, Mrs. Barbara Krol of Chicago, Mrs. Nellie Danczyk of Ord, and Mat Criffield of Loup City. Mr. Sobiesczyk was a good citizen, and before his illness, was a hard worker. His loved ones have the sympathy of the community. The Sherman County Times - Dec 9 1932
