| Description | : | Son of Conrad and Marianna (Thomas) Schlosser in Straßburg, Russia (modern day Ukraine). Nickolaus immigrated with his sisters Marianna and Pauline and brother Michael to the United States in 1913 to join two older brothers Franz and Conrad Karl. They were briefly detained at Ellis Island before traveling to North Dakota to stay with relatives in Strasburg. Nick would stay on and continue to farm near Strasburg.
