Family is at the home of Mrs. Wessie Henderson, Route 4, Chesnee; to receive friends 7- 9 tonight at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Chesnee. In Loving Memory of Nirome Pickney Henson (Norm). Born March 15, 1916 -- Died March 17, 1983. Norm and Marie Henson and children joined Casey Creek Church when Calvin Poole was Pastor. Norm had faith in God that was steadfast. There is a verse of scripture in Genesis Chapter 18: Verse 19 that reminds me of Norm. “ For I know Him that He will command his children and his house hold after Him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord.” Norm was faithful to his church. He believed in being on time, and being prepared in any way to serve the Lord. He had a prayer life that was devoted. He believed in living what you believed. He was also ready to testify for his Lord. He was often heard to say."I’m proud to stand up for my Lord. I’m not ashamed of my blessed Lord. He is a savior to be proud of.” He always liked to try to sing. His favorite song was,”I’ve Got A Home in That Rock.” At his Memotial service the scripture used was, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I’ve kept the faith.” He has done just that. He is missed very much but God needed Him, and therefore we will see Him again. His Family.
