Read More	WAITE, NOBLE VICTOR, 98, El Dorado, passed away on February 26, 2017 at the Kansas Heart Hospital with his loving wife and family at his side. Noble was born on November 14, 1918 in Wichita, to LeRoy Denman and Marguerite Hull Waite. He spent much of his early years in Dallas, Texas, but moved as a teenager to Towanda and graduated from Towanda High School in 1936. After graduation, he started part-time work at the Skelly oil refinery as a bottle washer and enrolled at El Dorado Junior College where he met the love of his life, Ida Mae Foster. Both graduated in May 1940 and were married on June 30 of that year. Over his almost 40 year career, Noble worked his way up to an Operations Supervisor at Skelly and the Texaco Oil Co. He was also a home builder and real estate broker for 50 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, El Dorado and the Patmos Lodge #97 AF & AM where he received his certificate for over 70 years as a Master Mason. He served in leadership positions in many community and civic organizations, including the Lake Association, the Senior Ambassadors of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Main Street Improvement Project. After retiring from Texaco in 1977, Noble and Ida Mae expanded their annual U.S. vacation schedule to include cruises, camping, European travel and snowbirding in Texas, where they thoroughly enjoyed almost 30 years of hobbies, socializing, and relaxation. In 2005 they moved back to El Dorado full time to enjoy family and friends. Noble continued to work on his favorite hobbies including stained glass projects, oil painting, and wood carving as long as he was able. Noble is survived by his wife Ida Mae; sons David (Nancy) and Stephen (Pam); sister Sheila Kanne; grandchildren Jerry (Laura), Michael (Nancy), Brian (Cheryl), and Derek (Kelli); great grandchildren Benjamin, Gage, Parker, Jenae, Bradley, Sunday, Emma, Evan, and Levi; and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Marguerite and his siblings Herald, Ernest King and Mary Esther. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4 at 2:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 421 W. Central, El Dorado with Pastor Andrew Conard presiding. Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Cemetery, El Dorado. Memorial donations may be made in Noble's honor to the Waite Family Scholarship in care of the Butler County Community College Foundation or the First United Methodist Church, El Dorado.
