Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Berglund, Duane Schuttler, Leonard Mathine, John Condon, Neil Stingley, William Berglund and Stanley Berglund. Noble William Berglund, son of Claus and Hilda Berglund, was born in Omaha Dec. 13, 1897. He was baptized in a Lutheran church in Omaha in 1901. As a young boy he moved with his parents to a farm southeast of Hartington and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Hartington on May 17, 1914. On Dec. 5, 1917, he was united in marriage to Edna Weber on a farm eight miles northeast of Creighton. Two sons were born to them. They lived on a farm east of Creighton until 1948 when they retired and moved into Creighton. He was employed until his heart attack in 1959. The Berglunds observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1967. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Earl and Melvin, both of Creighton; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one step-brother, Albert Tyler of Hartington, and one step-sister, Mrs. Leslie (Irene) Monson of Wausa. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one step-sister, one step-brother, and one great-granddaughter.
