She was a homemaker and member of First Assembly of God. Surviving are a son, Clifford of Newton; 10 grandchildren, including Barbara Langerak of altoona, whom Mrs. Thompson raised; 39 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. ~ The Des Moines Register, July 14, 1993.
