Description	:	Nora Ann Rose was born to William Thomas Lynch and Amy Jane Whiteaker Lynch on October 13, 1891, at Gallatin, Daviess, Mo., and passed away March 15, 1985, at Fairview Manor Nursing Home in Fairmont at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was one of seven children in the family. She was two years of age when her mother passed away and she was raised by an aunt in Idaho, Wood River, and McCool Junction. Read More	Nora Ann Rose was born to William Thomas Lynch and Amy Jane Whiteaker Lynch on October 13, 1891, at Gallatin, Daviess, Mo., and passed away March 15, 1985, at Fairview Manor Nursing Home in Fairmont at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was one of seven children in the family. She was two years of age when her mother passed away and she was raised by an aunt in Idaho, Wood River, and McCool Junction. She worked many years as a clerk in the Fairmont Millinery Store. On September 24, 1915, she married James A. Rose of Fairmont, and to them two children were born, Alice M. and Francis D. She was a great lover of gardening and flowers. She took great pride in her flowers and decorated lots of graves at Memorial Day. In August of 1964 she suffered a cerebral stroke and entered Moore's Nursing Home at Fairmont, and when they closed, she moved to Exeter Nursing Home and in March, 1973, she moved to the Fairmont Manor at Fairmont. She was the second resident of the Manor. As a young lady, she joined the Presbyterian Church of Fairmont and was a member of the United Methodist Church at the time of her death. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, James A. of Fairmont; parents of Gallatin, Mo.; brother, Clarence Lynch of Gallatin, Mo.; sister, Edith Bradford of Wood River; brother, Melvin Lynch of Wood River; half-brother, Edgar Lynch of Hamilton, Mo. and half-sister, Tabetha Thompson of Cogswell, Mo. She is survived by Alice M. Rose of Cleveland, Ohio and Francis D. Rose of Fairmont; a half-brother, Leo Lynch of Hamilton, Mo.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted on Monday, March 18, with the Rev. Norman Kauble officiating. Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery .
