At an early age she moved with her parents to Nebraska, spending most of her early life in Colfax and Platte counties. On Feb. 5, 1901, she was united in marriage to James Edward Hyland, at which time they moved to Boone county. She died May 1, at the Boone county hospital at the age of 86 years and six months. She leaves to mourn four children, Mrs. Alyce Grossnicklaus of Platte Center, Lee Hyland of Stuart, Dolores and Nora of Albion, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers were five grandsons, Eugene Fees, Kenneth Fees, John E. Austin, Nickolas Austin, Danny Austin and David Hellbusch. Relatives attending from a distance were Mrs. Anna Lee, Mrs. William L. Findley of Grand Island, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Lee, Mrs. Earl Lee of St. Paul, Mrs. Mary Hyland, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Belerhad of Leigh, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hyland of Stuart, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Mudloff of O’Neill, Jack E. Austin of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grossnicklaus of Platte Center, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Otterpohl of Lindsay, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Fees and Mrs. Kenneth Fees and family of Fremont, Mrs. Patricia Frasee, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Klappel of Norfolk, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Mudloff of Page.
