Michaud, 85, of Winslow died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Stockholm on July 30, 1919, daughter of William and Laura Lizotte. She married Mark E. Michaud May 10, 1940. Nora worked at Wyandotte Woolen Mill in Waterville for many years. Michaud, 85, of Winslow died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Stockholm on July 30, 1919, daughter of William and Laura Lizotte. She married Mark E. Michaud May 10, 1940. Nora worked at Wyandotte Woolen Mill in Waterville for many years. She was a member of the MacCrillis-Rousseau VFW Post of women's auxiliary. She was a communicant and chairwoman member of St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow. For many years Nora, her sisters and sister-in-law Clementine Lizotte donated their time to nursing homes, doing some mending, sewing and reading to help those in need. She loved doing needlepoint crosses that would be given to children making their first communion. She loved feeding her backyard birds and squirrels. Above all, her perfect day was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. She will be sadly missed. She was predeceased by her husband, Mark; a son, Ronald; five brothers, William, Venez, Albert, Donald, and Mark; two sisters, Rita Lizotte, and Cora Bolduc all of Waterville. Surviving are her daughter, Connie Barry and her husband, Arnold, of Belgrade; a son, Donald Michaud and his wife, Nancy, of Winslow; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lorette Theriault and Mrs. Marie Morgan, both of Winslow; several nieces and nephews. ... A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Winslow. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville.
