She was born near Douds and spent her earlier years here. Later she spent several years on a farm near Washington, Iowa. About 20 years ago she returned to Douds. She was a sister of the late Dan J. and Gilmore Plowman of Douds. Also preceding her in death were two husbands, Frank Springer and Charlie McKinstry, and a son Ralph Springer, Eloise Springer of Sarasota, Fla., a granddaughter, is her nearest relative.
