She was born Feb. 28 1922, in Harrison County, Mo., to Seth T. and Jessie A. (Alley) Foster. Norma was a member of the Barry Christian Church in Kansas City, Mo. She was a former member of the First Christian Church of Maryville, Mo., and the Bridgeport Christian Church of Harrison County, Mo. Read More	Norma Alleyn (Foster) Gregory, 89, a resident of Parkville, Mo., passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at her home. She was born Feb. 28 1922, in Harrison County, Mo., to Seth T. and Jessie A. (Alley) Foster. Norma was a member of the Barry Christian Church in Kansas City, Mo. She was a former member of the First Christian Church of Maryville, Mo., and the Bridgeport Christian Church of Harrison County, Mo. Norma was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Soroptimist International, and the American Red Cross. Norma spent most of her working life as a legal secretary at the Spencer- Gage-Hillix law firm in Kansas City. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and playing bridge. Norma was a great cook, quilter, seamstress, and painter. She taught ceramics for many years. But above all she had a great love for God and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack E. Gregory; sisters, Mary Morgan, Dawn Holcomb, Carol Holcomb, Hope Lasher, Joy Huffman and an infant sister, Rachel; brothers, Lafe Foster, Tom Foster, and an infant brother. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah (Frank) Staab of Surprise, Ariz., Michelle (Tom) Bosworth of Parkville, and Cheryl "Jill" Gregory of Parkville; four grandchildren, Kelly, Lori, Kristi, and Carris, and eight great grandchildren. A funeral service celebrating Norma's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the Barry Christian Church with Rev. Robert George officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Nodaway Memorial Gardens in Maryville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville.
