The ceremony will take place at Grace Methodist church, Saturday, Nov. 15 [1947] at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. **Marriage of Miss Norma Piller, Robert Hinman Solemnized at Saturday Afternoon Ceremony A low screen of greenery formed the background for the pedestal baskets filled with white chrysanthemums, and the lighted cathedral candles in seven-branched holders which appointed the chancel of the Grace Methodist church on Saturday afternoon for the marriage of Miss Norma Piller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph E. Piller of David City, to Robert Lewis Hinman, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Hinman of Lincoln. The lines of the 3 o'clock service were read by the Rev. R. A. Trowbridge, minister of Grace Mehtodist. As the 250 guests assembled a prelude of organ music was presented by Roy Young, who also played the wedding music. As matron of honor, Mrs. A. A. Piller of Columbus appeared in a frock of white crepe, designed in the princess mode. The bodice, patterned with white silk braid, had a bdeep V neckline and brief sleeves. The soft, straight skirt was floor length. Mrs. Piller completed her costume with long lace mits and carried a colonial bouquet of gardenias. Wearing identical frocks of taffeta in the pastel peach tone were the bridesmaids, Mrs. Donald R. Grant and Miss Rose Schadt. Also styled in the princess mode, the frocks were fashined with sweetheart necklines and replacing the length of the brief cap sleeves were long lace mitts. Their colonial bouquets were of gardenias. Miss Jerry Unland, frocked in yellow taffeta, lighted the candles. William H. Hinman served his son as best man, and the ushers were Donald Grant and William N. Johnson. Given in marriage by her brother, Bernard L. Piller of Shenandoah, Ia., the bridge appeared in a princess gown of white lace. A seed pearl motif centered the sweetheart neckline of the long fitted bodice, and the long sleeves tapered from modified shoulder fullness to points over the hands. The full skirt, which ended in a long train, was fashioned of the lace and inserts of nylon net. Her double-tiered veil of bridal illusion was fingertip length and was held to the head with a Juliet cap of lace and seed pearls. Her colonial bouquet of gardenias and white pompoms was centered iwth an orchild. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors where the bride's table, arranged with a lace cloth, was centered with a tiered wedding cake and appointed with low arrangements of white blossoms and tall white tapes. Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Charles C. Stahl and Miss Elva Baxter, who cut the wedding cake; Mrs. Kyle Curry and Mrs. Herman F. Gartner, who were in charge of the dining room, Mrs. Dale Rockenbach, Miss Emily Naish, Mrs. John Bartlett, Mrs. Frank Graff, Mrs. Martin Meyer, Mrs. Guy Stevens, Mrs. B. L. Piller of Shenandoah, Ia., and Mrs. V. W. Piller od David City. Mr. Hinman and his bridge left for a honeymoon trip and upon their return will reside at 3320 A street. For traveling, Mrs. Hinman wore a palomino suit with brown accessories. Mr. Hinman, who served three years with the army signal corps, including a year's over-seas duty, not is attending the University of Nebraska college of business administration.
