Norma was born March 29, 1936 in Hume, MO the daughter of Carl L. and Mona E. (Zwahlen) Keith. Norma was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Pittsburg High School in 1954. Norma was born March 29, 1936 in Hume, MO the daughter of Carl L. and Mona E. (Zwahlen) Keith. Norma was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Pittsburg High School in 1954. On June 7, 1955 Norma married Clarence T. “Jarbo” Watson in Pittsburg, KS; he preceded her in death in 2007. Norma worked as an administrative secretary for Cherokee Grade School, Southeast High School and later Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center before retiring in 2002. Norma was of the Protestant Faith. Norma had served as Pink Lady at Mt. Carmel Cancer Center. She was a member of the SNPJ Lodge #225 Arma. Norma cherished family heirlooms and the memories associated with each of them as well as antiques in general. Above all, she was a steadfast cornerstone, teacher, and guide to her family and friends through her challenges and theirs. Survivors include her daughter Kristie L. Watson-Bell and husband Tim of Pittsburg, KS; sister Shirley N. Gerwert of Weir, KS; sister-in-law Luella Zibert of Arma, KS; 2 step-grandsons; 2 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Monday January 19, 2015 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Chaplain Pete Mayo officiating. Burial will follow at the Cherokee Cemetery in Cherokee, KS. Family will receive friends from 2-4pm Sunday January 18, 2015; friends may call after 12pm Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Mt. Carmel Foundation Cancer Center Fund.
