She was born December 14, 1939 at the family home in Lancaster County to Arthur and Lillian (Hollman) Henning. Norma was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church at Kramer on March 25, 1940. She was born December 14, 1939 at the family home in Lancaster County to Arthur and Lillian (Hollman) Henning. Norma was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church at Kramer on March 25, 1940. She was confirmed March 29, 1953, also at St. John's. She attended Crete High School and graduated in 1957. She married Franklin Halada on October 27, 1962 at St. John Lutheran Church. Norma worked as a legal secretary with the Halstead Law Office for over 25 years and then was on the office staff at Crete Medical Center for 15 years. She loved gardening and canning. She also loved cooking, baking, and sewing. She took great pleasure in feeding the birds and watching them. She enjoyed listening to country music. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Crete. She is survived by her husband, Franklin; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Halada of Crete, David and Kathy Halada of Lincoln; daughter Stacia Halada of Lincoln; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Carolyn Henning of Lincoln, Larry Henning of Lincoln, Jerry and Donna Henning, Art Jr. and Judy Henning, Chuck and Rosalee Henning, all of Crete, Bruce and Jan Henning of Dorchester; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Bob Hilliard of Houston, Texas, Marjorie and Noyle Kramer and Donna and Daryl Michl, all of Crete. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were December 24 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Crete with Pastor Nathan Ristvedt and Pastor James Ernst officiating. Organist was Jayne VanAsperen. Interment was at St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Kramer. Pallbearers were Bruce Henning, Robert Tuma, Steve Kramer, Peggy Siedhoff, Peg Formanek, and Ron Henning.
