Miss Johnston is survived by a nephew, Rod Sutton of Grand Island, two great-nephews, Steve and Darren Sutton, a great-great-nephew, Alex Goerig and two great-great-nieces, Nicole and Haleigh Sutton. Read More	Norma Johnston, 81, of Grand Island died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Golden Living Center Park Place. Miss Johnston was born on Aug. 13, 1927, at Atlanta to Earl F. and A. Beatrice (Simpson) Johnston. Miss Johnston is survived by a nephew, Rod Sutton of Grand Island, two great-nephews, Steve and Darren Sutton, a great-great-nephew, Alex Goerig and two great-great-nieces, Nicole and Haleigh Sutton. She grew up in the Holdrege area and graduated from Holdrege High School in 1944. She moved to Grand Island in 1967 where she worked for the County Surveyor's Office. She then went to work for Social Services until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Lucille Johnston, Geraldine Moye and Virginia Bartling and an infant brother, Edward.
