Description	:	Norma J. Hunter, age 93, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at an Aberdeen Care Center. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Watertown with Pastor Kent Stillson officiating. Music will be furnished by Robbyn Givens as soloist and Marian Riddle as organist. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Helgen Lutheran Cemetery, rural Florence, SD. Norma Jeanette Hunter was born November 19, 1921 to Melvin and Hilda (Rukstad) Dahle in Florence, South Dakota. She had two brothers, Marvin and Willard. She grew up in Florence where her dad worked at the bank. Her dad died when she was 10 and Norma stated "I had a wonderful mother who worked very hard to take care of us." She and her family moved to Watertown when she was a sophomore in high school. It was at Watertown High School that she met the love of her life, Glen "Tiny" Hunter. They were married on June 17, 1944. Tiny and Norma owned Hunter's Grocery in Watertown and raised three daughters, Kathy, Carol and Barb. Norma was a charter member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and belonged to Priscilla Circle. She was also a member of PEO and Bridge Club. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain beautifully for her family and friends. Tiny and Norma always enjoyed golfing and going to sports events. She also loved music and liked to travel as much as she could. Norma is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Hunter of Minneapolis, MN, Carol Hunter of Aberdeen, SD, and Barbara (Mark) Kapelle of Watertown, SD; six grandchildren, Andrew (Jennifer) Crow, Tom Crow, Ann Kapelle, Benjamin (Danielle) Kapelle, Molly Sorensen and Stephanie Sorensen; and one great-granddaughter, Charley Marie Kapelle. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Tiny Hunter on December 4, 2005; and two brothers, Willard and Marvin.
