She was born October 31, 1920 in Scribner, NE to Fred and Anna (Kruger) Kull. She grew up near Webster, NE and north of Ames. She moved to Fremont in 1935 and graduated from Fremont High School in 1937. Norma worked at the Credit Bureau at Fremont for 4 years and then she married Gerald "Jerry" M. Petersen May 22, 1942 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. After marriage they lived on a farm north of Fremont and moved into Fremont in 1982. Norma was a member of Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church northwest of Fremont and taught Sunday school and bible school. She was active in Bluffs Trinity Women and held many offices. She was on the Nickerson election board for 15 years and a Red Cross volunteer at Fremont Area Medical Center since 1976. Survivors include: husband, Gerald "Jerry"; son, Roger and his wife Debbie Petersen of Fremont; 2 grandchildren, Nicholas "Nick" and his wife Nicki Petersen & Samantha and her husband John Allemang; and 3 great grandchildren, Ty & Emmerson Petersen and Alexis Allemang. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 4 brothers, William, Fred, Leroy & Burnell Kull; and 5 sisters, Emma Draemel, Sophie Schloemer, Alma Wolfe, Laura Phillips & Magdalene Kienbaum. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:00 A.M., Monday, July 22, 2013 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, followed by burial at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. There will be a Memorial Service at 10:30 A.M. at Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Pastor Sean Tyler will officiate. Visitation will be 3-8 P.M. Sunday with family receiving friends 6-8 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Memorials may be directed to Bluffs Trinity Church or Fremont Area Medical Center Hospice. Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont is in charge of arrangements. 402-721-4490
