She was born April 10, 1923, in the American Corner area of Caroline County, the daughter of the late Floyd P. Daffin and Bertha F. Collins. Ryan of Federalsburg, Md. passed away at the age of 95 on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Bayleigh Chase in Easton where she was a resident for the past five years. She was born April 10, 1923, in the American Corner area of Caroline County, the daughter of the late Floyd P. Daffin and Bertha F. Collins. Norma graduated from Federalsburg High School in the class of 1940. She then attended Beacon College, where she graduated in 1941. Norma worked for Atlas Powder Co. for eight years before she moved back to Federalsburg in 1951 with her son, John A. Ryan. He passed away in 2010. Upon moving back to Federalsburg, she joined the Getty Oil Co. where she worked until her retirement in 1983. She attended and was a faithful member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Seaford. She is survived by two nieces: Joanne Patchett, of Preston; Kay Cooper, of Ridgley; and one nephew, Richard Largaespada. In addition to her son, she was predeceased by her two sisters: Hilda D. Noble, of Miffintown, PA; Emma J. Harrell; and two brothers: Virgil T. Daffin and Raymond F. Daffin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 1 p.m. from the Williamson Funeral Home, 311 South Main Street, Federalsburg. The Rev. Raymond Taylor of Dover, DE officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning one hour prior to the funeral services. The interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg.
