Description	:	BINGHAM -- Norma L. Pooler, 98, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Somerset Rehabilitation & Living Center in Bingham. She was born Jan. 3, 1915, in Wellington, to Charles E. Jr. and Elizabeth Annie (Estes) Ricker. Norma graduated from Harmony High School with the class of 1934. She was married on June 15, 1935, in Bingham, to Charles L. Pooler. She and her husband lived in Mayfield for several years moving to Bingham in 1948. Pooler, 98, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Somerset Rehabilitation & Living Center in Bingham. She was born Jan. 3, 1915, in Wellington, to Charles E. Jr. and Elizabeth Annie (Estes) Ricker. Norma graduated from Harmony High School with the class of 1934. She was married on June 15, 1935, in Bingham, to Charles L. Pooler. She and her husband lived in Mayfield for several years moving to Bingham in 1948. Norma was an active member of the Bingham Grange and the Bingham Goodwill Club for many years. In May 2011, Norma was presented a clock from Bingham Selectmen honoring her as Bingham's oldest resident. Norma enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing and walking. She and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States. She was an accomplished seamstress enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was predeceased by a grandson, Timothy W. Pooler; three sisters; and her brother who died in the invasion of Normandy during World War II. She is survived b her husband of 78 years, Charles L. Pooler, of Bingham, a son, Rance A. Pooler, and his wife, Eleanor, of Solon; grandchildren: Andrew Jason Giroux, of Skowhegan, Janice E. Pooler of Nevada, and Jessica Giroux, of Skowhegan; great-grandchildren: Timothy L. Pooler and Alexis Giroux Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at Giberson Funeral Home, 18 River St., in Bingham. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19 at Union Cemetery in Moscow, with the Rev. Nathan T. Richards officiating.
