Lorraine grew up in Missouri and her family moved to Rio Dell, CA in 1944. She graduated from Fortuna High School. She was employed by the Pacific Lumber Company in Scotia for a total of 25 years, working in the office. She is also survived by grandchildren Amanda Nichols and her husband Larry, Terrin Semas and her husband Trent, Cody Waters and Kameron Waters, all of Eureka, Melinda Waters of Windsor, Ashley Waters of Chico, Jasper Waters and his wife Erica of Redding, Kevin Waters of Holmes Flat, and Natasha Brooks and her husband John of Rio Dell. She is also survived by great grandchildren Keirstyn and Chayse Semas of Eureka, Jeremy, Jacob, Justin, and Jackson Dillon of Redding, Chase Waters of Redding, and Kellan Brooks of Rio Dell. She also is survived by siblings Harold Stephens and his wife Fay of Stella, MO, Bill Stephens of St. George, UT, Darlene O'Neal of Fountain, Ml, and Kenny Stephens and his wife Myrna of Redding, CA. She also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Emry and Lillie Jewell Stephens, and two sons, Rendil Wayne and Kerry Don Waters. Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Eureka on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM. A last respects viewing will be at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary, 560 12th Street, Fortuna on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 12 noon to 5pm. Published in Eureka Times-Standard on June 8, 2010
