Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Bismarck Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Weiss officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Norma Lucille (Waltz) Felchle was born June 6, 1928, in Harvey, the daughter of John and Martha Waltz. She attended rural school in Lincoln Valley and then in Goodrich. She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1946, and after summer school training at Valley City State Teacher's College, taught in a rural one-room school in Sheridan County for two years. Norma married Harold Felchle on her 20th birthday, June 6, 1948, at the Goodrich Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, served on the Ladies Aide, and taught the youth group for many years. They lived and farmed northwest of Goodrich and milked cows for 38 years. Norma worked for the Goodrich Post Office for 30 years -20 as clerk and 10 as postmaster. In the fall 1996, they retired and moved to Bismarck, where they enjoyed time with friends and family, especially their grandson, Christopher. Norma enjoyed many hobbies including embroidering, cooking and baking those wonderful pies and kuchen. She enjoyed teaching Christopher to bake homemade crusts and pies this past summer. Harold passed away in April 2002. Surviving family include her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Tim Fogderud; her grandson, Christopher Fogderud; her sisters, Almora (Al) Borner and Ardella (Gene) Martinson; her brother-in-law, Hank Baum; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; and her sister, Norline Baum. Memorials can be designated to St. Alexius Hospice Care, Goodrich Cemetery Fund, Bismarck Baptist Building Fund or one of donor's choosing.
