The pastor Rev. B.J. Hascamp performed the ceremony and officiated at the nuptial high mass. Miss Eleanor Kimminau, niece of the groom and Edmund Brock brother of the bride were the attendants to the bridal couple. The bride looked beautiful in a white satin dress of floor length with white accessories. Her three-fourths length veil was shirred on a lace cap. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The brides maid wore a floor length satin dress of royal blue color and carried a bouquet of pink roses. During the day a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents at which close relatives were guests and in the evening friends were treated to a dance in Parish Hall, widely attended. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brockman while the groom is a son of Henry Kimminau. Both young people were born and reared in the St. Stephens community, come from prominent families and have a host of friends who wish them only the best that life can possibly offer. They will make their home on a farm southeast of Lawrence. ========================= The Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Thursday, March 12, 1992; pg. 1 Norman Kimminau Passes away The community was shocked and saddened when the news came to town Wednesday that Norma Kimminau had passed away. Norma, not feeling well visited the doctor at Blue Hill that morning and passed away unexpectedly there. Funeral services were held Saturday morning March 7, 1992 at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. Rev. Thomas Au celebrated the Mass of the Resurrection and also officiated at the graveside services at St. Stephen's Cemetery. Rosary services were Friday evening at Sacred Heart Church. Pallbearers were six nephews: Arnold Kimminau, Roy Rempe, Virgil Brockman, Roger Wermeskerch, Jerry Schutte and Arnold Mertens. Norma Mary, was born to Fred and Magalena (sic) (Kathman) Brockman on Nov. 13, 1916 in Nuckolls County. She attended rural country school and St. Stephen's Catholic School. On November 8, 1938, she was united in marriage to Frank Kimminau at St. Stephens church (sic). They lived on a farm in the St. Stephens area. This union was blessed with six children. Frank passed away on May 25, 1982. Norma was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Altar Society and the Sewing Circle. She was a friend to everyone and always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed to those who had the privelege (sic) of knowing her. Preceding her in death was a son LaVern in 1961, a daughter Julene in 1975 and her husband in 1982. Survivors are two daughters, Connie Dale of Littleton, Colo. and Delores Krebsbach of Lawrence; two sons, Don of LaVista, NE & Paul of Arvada, CO; four sisters, Hilda Kimminau of Nelson, Eleanor Schutte of Grand Island, Irene Schutte of Kearney and Lorraine Rempe of Superior; two brothers, Norbert Brockman of Lawrence and Edmund Brockman of Denver, Colo.; and five grandchildren. Relatives attending the funeral were from Denver, Co., Grand Island, Kearney, Omaha, Fremont, Superior, Nelson, Lincoln and Hastings.
