Description	:	CUMBERLAND - Norma Sue (Heavner) Twigg, 85, of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at the WMHS-Braddock Campus. Born May 19, 1922 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late George Albert Heavner and Bessie (Hyre) Heavner. Mrs. Twigg was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Twigg; her brothers, Doug, Brooke, Earl and John Heavner; and her sisters, Mary Shyrock, Louise Iliff and Rosalie Heckert; and a great grandson, Austin Thuss. Born May 19, 1922 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late George Albert Heavner and Bessie (Hyre) Heavner. Mrs. Twigg was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Twigg; her brothers, Doug, Brooke, Earl and John Heavner; and her sisters, Mary Shyrock, Louise Iliff and Rosalie Heckert; and a great grandson, Austin Thuss. Mrs. Twigg retired from the Allegany County School System where she served as a cafeteria manager. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, served as Sunday school teacher and was superintendent. She was a member of the Women's Society of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Twigg is survived by her children, Floyd "Butch" Twigg and wife, Pat, Bedford, Pa., Charlene Griffith, Cumberland, Charles Twigg and wife, Beverly, Pinto and Robert Twigg and wife, Ellen, Cumberland; her brother, Robert Heavner, Cumberland; and her grandchildren, Sue Colyer and husband, Ron, Mike Griffith, Kathy Arnold and husband, Willie, Jeff Twigg and special friend, April, Cindy Logue and husband, Chris, Darrell Twigg and wife, Deneen, Teri Goetz and husband, Howard, Sheri Hardinger and husband, Scott, Chris Twigg, Dan Twigg and wife, Tammy, John Twigg and wife, Dawn, Shelly Thuss and husband, Kenny and Jennifer Helle. Also surviving Mrs. Twigg are 31 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Tom Landaker officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be made to the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, c/o Union Grove Charge, 15607 Winslow St., SW, Cumberland, MD 21502.
