Norma was born March 21, 1931 in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Emma (Deutmeyer) Funke. Norma grew up on the family farm north of Dyersville and lived there until she moved to Cedar Rapids where she spent the rest of her adult life. She married Robert W. Edleman on October 29. 1966. Read More	Norma Dell (Funke) Edleman, 80, passed away Sunday January 22, 2012 at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. Norma was born March 21, 1931 in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Emma (Deutmeyer) Funke. Norma grew up on the family farm north of Dyersville and lived there until she moved to Cedar Rapids where she spent the rest of her adult life. She married Robert W. Edleman on October 29. 1966. They were previous owners of the Plaza Auto Auction in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. After Robert passed away in July of 1991, Norma continued on with the business until her retirement in 2003. Norma enjoyed traveling and visited countries world wide. She loved animals and the outdoors, and she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Cedar Rapids.Norma is survived by her three step-children; Harry Edleman of Miami Beach, FL, Vickie (Bob) Cockrane of Lynnfield, MA. And David Edleman of Bradenton, FL and step-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; Leroy (Lois) Funke of Dyersville, IA, Dennis (Jean) Funke of Dubuque, IA, Vila Hofer of Dubuque, IA and Marilyn (Roger) Mescher of Dyersville, IA; two sisters-in-law; Elaine Funke and Jan Funke of Dyersville, IA; brother-in-law, Gerald (Kay) Edleman of Anamosa, IA and many nieces and nephews.Norma is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents and her brothers, Robert and David Funke, a brother-in-law, Dale Hofer; sister-in-law, Elaine Smith; nephews; Scott Funke (in infancy) and Dean Funke.Services will be held Saturday January 28, 2012 at 10:00 am at The Immaculate Conception Parish with a visitation to be held prior to the service at 9:30 am.Services are under the direction of Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
