Grant, 55, who allegedly as killed by an automobile while walking on highway 65 and 20 north of town Saturday, were held from his home one-half miles north of here Tuesday afternoon. Rev. William T. Butler, pastor of the First Methodist church, read the last rites for the well known farmer, who had lived in this community all his life. He was buried in Union cemetery. . His death occurred two hours after the accident, at Ellsworth hospital here from basal skull fractures and other injuries. The accident occurred on the exact hour of the first anniversary of his father's funeral services which were held a year ago last Saturday. Mr. Grant was born April 20, 1880, one of eight children of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Bruce Grant, in Grant township, Franklin county, la. The family moved to the home place in Hardin county in 1898. Norman Grant remained at this home since that time, after members of the family made homes of their own elsewhere. His mother, who was Louisa Blake, died 20 years ago. He was married to Miss May Wall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wall. Sr.. who reside near Bradford, la- on Dec 12. 1833. She survives. Other relatives include two brothers, W. B Grant. Franklin county, north of Iowa Falls. and R. B. Grant, Bethel, Minn,; and four sisters. Mrs. Nellie Havens. Iowa Falls; Mrs. M. E. Peck, Salem, Ore.; Mrs. W. R. Law, Iowa Falls, and Mrs. H.
