Description	:	Norman D. Prange Norman D. Prange, 69, Shelbyville, died Friday, January 20, 2006, at 1:35 a.m. at his home northwest of Shelbyville. He was born September 18, 1936 in Kirksville, Mo., the son of John William and Grace Beckley Prange. Survivors include one sister, one nephew and one niece. Mr. Prange was a lifelong resident of the Shelbyville community where he was actively engaged in farming until the past year when his health failed. He owned and operated Prange Tractor Service for many years and previously owned the water softening service out of Shelbyville. Prange, 69, Shelbyville, died Friday, January 20, 2006, at 1:35 a.m. at his home northwest of Shelbyville. He was born September 18, 1936 in Kirksville, Mo., the son of John William and Grace Beckley Prange. Survivors include one sister, one nephew and one niece. Mr. Prange was a lifelong resident of the Shelbyville community where he was actively engaged in farming until the past year when his health failed. He owned and operated Prange Tractor Service for many years and previously owned the water softening service out of Shelbyville. He graduated from Shelbyville High School, attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers College for two years, and graduated from Bailey Diesel Mechanic School in St. Louis. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea following the war. Mr. Prange was a member of the Shelbyville Christian Church. Funeral services were Monday, January 23 at 2:30 p.m. at the Shelbyville Christian Church, Shelbyville, with Dr. Albin Covington and Michael Curtice officiating. Burial was in Shelby Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday evening at Greening-Eagean-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.
