Description	:	Funeral services for Norman Frederick Reese, 65, of Creighton were held Monday, Aug. 16 at Thabor Lutheran Church in Wausa. Reverend Peter Friberg officiated the 2 p.m. service with interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were Gary Emory, Steve Thies, Bill Schwarting, Mike Emory, Rick Smalley and Mark Carlson. Honorary pallbearers were the grandchildren. Norman Frederick Reese was born to Harley and Della (Mueller) Reese on February 12, 1934 at Wisner. He was baptized into the Lutheran Faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pierce County and confirmed at Eden Valley Lutheran Church in rural Plainview. He was currently a member of Thabor Lutheran Church in Wausa. He attended rural Knox County schools and graduated from Plainview High School in 1951. He married Roberta Hoffart on May 29, 1955 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview. They were blessed with two daughters, Susan and Cheryl. After their marriage they farmed south of Midland until 1979, when they moved to a farm north of Wausa. In March 1999, they moved to Creighton, where he lived until his death. Norman passed away August 12 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton at the age of 65 years and six months. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; two daughters, Susan Lewis and husband, Hal and Cheryl Werner and husband, Dale, all of Creighton; five grandchildren and two great grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Gloria) Smalley of Norfolk; sister-in-law, Barbara Emory of Norfolk and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends, He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Della and his father-in-law, Ben Hoffart.
