Description	:	Norman R. Nork, 88, of Marysville, KS, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Cambridge Place. Norman was born July 4, 1923 at Marysville, the son of Hjalmer and Linna (Ackerman) Nork. In 1941, he graduated from Marysville High School. He then attended Watchmaker school at Elgin, IL. He served the U.S. Navy on a PT boat in the Pacific Theatre. After his honorable discharge Norman returned to Marysville and worked with his family at Ackerman Jewelry Store. He later owned the jewelry store and operated it until his retirement. Norman was born July 4, 1923 at Marysville, the son of Hjalmer and Linna (Ackerman) Nork. In 1941, he graduated from Marysville High School. He then attended Watchmaker school at Elgin, IL. He served the U.S. Navy on a PT boat in the Pacific Theatre. After his honorable discharge Norman returned to Marysville and worked with his family at Ackerman Jewelry Store. He later owned the jewelry store and operated it until his retirement. Norman enjoyed flowers and cats. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his brother, Robert (Patricia) Nork, Marysville; two nieces and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 11 at Memorial Presbyterian Church, Marysville. Burial will be in the Marysville City Cemetery.
