| Description | : | Norman William Christensen was born on Oct. 5, 1935 to Walter and Elsie (Walters) Christensen on a farm north of Atlantic. He attended country school. In 1949, he moved to what they called Rorbeck, southwest of Elk Horn. On April 20, 1957, he was united in marriage to Shirley Namanny at Peace Church in Walnut. Norman served from 1958 to 1960 in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He returned to the farm and worked at a gas station, drove truck, and did farm work for local farmers.
