Description	:	Norman Woody, a retired farmer of Franklin, Route 3 (Iotla community) and a native of this county, died Wednesday, January 19, at 4:40 a.m. at C. J. Harris Community Hospital in Sylva. He was 76 and had been ill for a week. Funeral services for Mr. Woody were conducted the 22nd at the Iotla Baptist Church by the Rev. Theron Single, the Rev. Judd Smith and the Rev. M.I. Brock. Burial was in the church cemetery with Bill Ramsey, Albert Ramsey, Jr., Ray Bennett, Ed Bradley, Ervin Smith, and Homer Cochran serving as pallbearers. Born Feb.... Born Feb. 16, 1889, he was the son of the late James and Mrs. Emma Duvall Woody. He was a member of the Iotla Baptist Church and was married Nov. 26, 1916 to Miss Daisy Solesbee, of this county, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Harold, Garland and Charlie Woody, all of Pontiac, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Paris Moffitt, of Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. Lucille Brinker, of Route 3; two sisters, Mrs. C.A. Breedlove and Miss Emeline Woody, both of Route 3; and 13 grandchildren. Potts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Published: The Franklin Press ~ January 27, 1966
