He grew to manhood in this vicinity and February 28, 1929 he married Lillian Bamesberger. To this union two sons were born. They farmed in the Persia vicinity where she died October of 1940. On September 16, 1942 he married Louise Doner at Council Bluffs, Iowa and they made their home southwest of Minden, Iowa. Read More	The Life Story of Norris John Voge - 64 Norris John Voge was born June 3, 1903 at Portsmouth, Iowa, the son of Lottie and August N. Voge. He grew to manhood in this vicinity and February 28, 1929 he married Lillian Bamesberger. To this union two sons were born. They farmed in the Persia vicinity where she died October of 1940. On September 16, 1942 he married Louise Doner at Council Bluffs, Iowa and they made their home southwest of Minden, Iowa. In 1949 they moved to their present farm in Clay township, southwest of Elk Horn, Iowa. Mr. Voge had specialized in raising purebred hogs since 1942. He had been a member of the Congregational Church in Harlan, Iowa for many years. In addition to his wife, Louise, he is survived by his two sons - Glenn E. of Ankeny, Iowa and Dale A. at home. He is also survived by a brother, Dallas Voge of Portsmouth, Iowa; a half-brother, Lloyd L. Lawson of Ellenberg, Washington; four sisters, Aida, Mrs. Harold McBride of Logan, Iowa; Velma, Mrs. Harry Kimmish of Persia, Iowa; Opal, Mrs. John Stuhr of Minden, Iowa and Alice, Mrs. Edwin Thoney of San Francisco, California; by a half-sister, Emma, Mrs. Art Tague of Spirit Lake, Iowa and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, 1967, at the Congregational Christian Church in Harlan with Rev. Norman Halliday and Rev. Loren W. Hickerson officiating. Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery. Pallbearers were Emmert Steen, Marion Boose, Lynn Petersen, Lowell Philson, H.F. Fredricksen and Peder C. Andersen From The Harlan News-Advertiser (Harlan, Iowa) - Monday 07 Aug 1967
