Mr. Boden had been bed fast the past 2 1/2 years. He came here in the early days of the county with his parents from Illinois. The family homestead east of Medicine Lodge starting in 1882. Mr. Boden had been bed fast the past 2 1/2 years. He came here in the early days of the county with his parents from Illinois. The family homestead east of Medicine Lodge starting in 1882. The farm was located a few miles north of Pixley. In 1912 Mr. Boden moved to Sharon and the family home remained there ever since. Mr. Boden served as Sharon city marshal for five years from 1918 until 1923 and as a janitor of the school for 21 years, until 1949, when he retired. He was married in 1899 to Audrey Manley who passed away Dec. 21, 1913. Three children were born to this union. On Dec. 16, 1916, he was married to Anna Manley and they had five children. He is survived by his wife of the home, and eight children, George R., Kansas City, Kan., Glenn L., Emporia, Mrs. Alice Marshall, Wichita, Willis N., Denver, Colo., Donald R., Wichita, Mrs. Ralph Boone, Kingman, Dale F., Wichita. There are 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Mr Boden died Feb. 20 at his home in Sharon. He was born Oct. 25, 1873 in Oquaka, Ill. Officiating at services at 2 p.m. was the Rev. Larry Tankersly. Burial was in the Sharon Cemetery. Barber County Index
