Notley was a man 37 years old and was an excellent gentleman in every respect. Was not married and had made his home in Leonard with his sister, Mrs. Sallie Fuller. He had been a member of the Christian church of Leonard for ten years and had lived an exemplary life. Funeral at Leonard Saturday morning, and interment at Old Antioch cemetery. Notley McCabe of Leonard passed away Friday [sic] morning, Jan. 14 [sic], after an illness of about a week of lagrippe. He was a single man and about 40 years of age. Mr. McCabe resided with his sister, Mrs. Sallie Fuller in Leonard and was a kind hearted man. He carried the mail from Clarence to Leonard for Clabe Cornelius until the Star route was discontinued. His many friends regret to learn of his death and extend their sympathy to the relatives that are left to mourn his departure.
