Nyla June Maly was born June 12, 1934, on the family farm northwest of Merricourt, N.D., the daughter of Lillis and Edith (Murray) Maly. She grew up there and attended eight years at the local country school and three years at Edgeley High School. She married Roy L. Nyla June Maly was born June 12, 1934, on the family farm northwest of Merricourt, N.D., the daughter of Lillis and Edith (Murray) Maly. She grew up there and attended eight years at the local country school and three years at Edgeley High School. She married Roy L. Anderson on June 26, 1951, at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley. They lived on a farm near Edgeley. In 1976, they moved to Edgeley where she worked at Manor St. Joseph for many years. He died in 1986. In 2001, she moved to West Fargo. She was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church and Transfiguration Altar Society. She is survived by a son, LaVerne (Deb), Edgeley; two daughters, Brenda Anderson, Fargo, and Becky (Robert) Klein, West Fargo; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, a sister and a grandchild. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley. Prayer service: 8 p.m. today at the church. Visitation: noon to 6 p.m. today, Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley. Note: this burial location was confirmed by her daughter to be a typographic error; burial loation is Mt. Calvary Cemetery. ~~~~~~~~~~ Nyla is the great-granddaughter of John Allen Smith of Lenox, Iowa.
