Mrs. O'Brien was a member of the Beech Grove Christian Church. Born Dec. 2, 1909, in Beech Grove, she was a daughter of Mrs. Clara Coffey Fitzgerald, Roseland, and the late James Robert Fitzgerald. Navy in the Philippines Islands, and James O'Brien, Roseland; four daughters, Mrs. Palmer (Shirley) Fitzgerald, Roseland; Phyllis and Becky O'Brien, both at home; and Mrs. James (Eva) Bevelyn, Waldorf, Md.; five brothers, Dewey L. Fitzgerald, and Owen Fitzgerald, both of Lynchburg; Shelby Fitzgerald and Lawney Fitzgerald, both of Beech Grove, and Clyde B. Fitzgerald, Lyndhurst; one sister, Miss Annie Fitzgerald, Beech Grove, and one grandson. Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home and will be placed in the Beech Grove Christian Church one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. J. D. Farries. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Clyde Fitzgerald, Jerry Fitzgerald, Joseph Palmer, William C. (Bill) Bryant, Raymond Fitzgerald and Thomas W. Fitzgerald. Honorary bearers will be members of Mrs. O'Brien's church.
