Passed away in Lethbridge after a lengthy illness on Thursday, September 17th, 1987, Mr. Odber William Soice, at the age of 83 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Gladys Soice of 630 17th Street, South, Lethbridge. Born October 19th, 1903 at Glencoe, Minnesota, U.S.A., Odber "Babe" came to Canada in 1907 with his parents and settled in Warner. Alberta. He was educated in Warner and Calgary and became a successful farmer in the Warner district until he retired and moved to Lethbridge in 1948. He was a lifetime member in the Warner Elks and during his retirement was involved in many hobbies and especially enjoyed his lapidarian work. Besides his loving wife, Odber is survived by two sons, Clayton (Dorothy) Soice of Warner, Leroy (Riny) Soice of Calgary; and two daughters, Delvoir (Ernest) Longair of Lethbridge and Marjorie (Howard) Anderson of Hinton, Alberta; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mae McKenzie; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Oliver; and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Snyder. The funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September, 21st, 1987 in Martin Bros. Memorial Chapel, 703 13th Street North with Reverend Larry D. Hankinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Warner Cemetery. Family Plot at 2:15 p.m.
