He was a member of Pleasant View Primitive Baptist Church, which he loved very much. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a farmer and an outdoorsman known for his rabbit-hunting dogs and his love of the land. His love of his family and friends were evident by his actions. Read More	Odell Alley, 76, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Stokes County to Jettie Florence Woods Alley and Earnest Len Alley. He was a member of Pleasant View Primitive Baptist Church, which he loved very much. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a farmer and an outdoorsman known for his rabbit-hunting dogs and his love of the land. His love of his family and friends were evident by his actions. Everyone, especially children, will remember his storytelling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jerry Aaron, two sisters, Ella Reid and Jennie Hawkins; and three brothers, Lev Alley, David Alley and Lester Alley. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Betty Adams Alley of the home; his daughter, Cheryl Alley Aaron of Danbury; two grandchildren, Robin (David) Bowden of Pinnacle and Scott (Tracy) Aaron of Danbury; two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mattie Sue Nelson and Rachel Powell; two brothers, Junior Alley and James (Alma) Alley; three sisters-in-law, Novella Adams, Barbara Jean (Fountain) Mannering and Dorothy Alley; a brother-in-law, Gaylon Adams; Published in Winston-Salem Journal July 28 2006 (edited)
