Description	:	*Odessia Carroll Brown*, 92 years of age, of LaFollette, Tennessee, departed this life suddenly on Sunday, June 18th, 2017 at the LaFollette Medical Center. Odessia was born on August 11th, 1924, daughter of the late Howard and Nola McKlin Carroll. She was a lifelong member of West LaFollette Baptist Church. Odessia enjoyed growing her flowers, quilting for her family, and watching the humming birds outside her window. Read More	*Odessia Carroll Brown, 92 years of age, of LaFollette, Tennessee, departed this life suddenly on Sunday, June 18th, 2017 at the LaFollette Medical Center. Odessia was born on August 11th, 1924, daughter of the late Howard and Nola McKlin Carroll. She was a lifelong member of West LaFollette Baptist Church. Odessia enjoyed growing her flowers, quilting for her family, and watching the humming birds outside her window. She was a loving mother and proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She always enjoyed time spent with any and all of her family. Odessia was survived one daughter, Joyce (and her husband, Lowell) Lowe of LaFollette, Tennessee; three sons, Lewis (and his wife, Peggy Jo) Brown and Arnold "Rabbit" Brown, both of LaFollette, Tennessee, and Tim (and his wife, Teresa) Brown of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; one sister, Tressie Sheffield of Caryville, Tennessee; two granddaughters Tonia Byrd and Christy (and her husband, Reverend Charles) Kohlmeyer; three great grandchildren, Jared Byrd, Cassie Kohlmeyer and Dalton Kohlmeyer; a special friend of 60 years, Anna Bradshaw, also special friends Debbie Bell and Tammy Coleman; extended family, Mike Lamb and Gail Lamb Smiddy; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourh her passing. She was preceded in death by parents, Howard Carroll, who departed this life on June 29th, 1967 and Nola Carroll, who departed this life on October 16th, 1963; three sisters, Lonie Fritts, Louise Caldwell, and Earnie Pace; three brothers Clyde Carroll, John Carroll, and Andrew Carroll; and two former husbands, Charlie Madison, who departed this life on April 14th, 1991 and Grover Brown, who departed this life on December 11th, 1989. Her pallbearers were: Jared Byrd, Dalton Kohlmeyer, Jerry Crutchfield, Jimmy Smiddy, Wallace “Babe" Moore, and Dayne Deavours. Her honorary pallbearer was Cassie Kohlmeyer. Visitations were held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th, 2017 at the Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th, 2017 in the Chapel of the Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Kohlmeyer and Reverend Sampson Ridenour officiating. Interment followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell County, Tennessee. THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF ODESSIA, I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
