Description	:	Muscatine Journal Odetta F. Mills, 97, of West Liberty, died Monday, February 2, 2004, at Simpson Memorial Home. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2004, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Jason Crossen of the St. Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate. Casket bearers will be Scott Mills, Craig Mills, Glen Forbes, Kathy Forbes, Terry Forbes, Kirk Mills, Dorene Burr, and Vickie Burr. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Mills was born on February 20, 1906, in Atalissa, the daughter of John Henry and Emma (Meyers) Arnold. She married Frederick David Mills on February 21, 1923, in Muscatine County. Odetta was a homemaker and farm wife. She enjoyed playing the piano and always had a huge garden. She also raised chickens, and enjoyed cooking and loved taking care of her family. She is survived by three sons, Mervin Mills and wife, Dorothy, and Kenton Mills and wife, Garnet, all of Nichols, and Wendell "Poody" Mills of Muscatine; two daughters, Belva June Burr and husband, Harvey, of West Liberty, and Mary Lou Forbes and husband, Harold, of Lone Tree; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1980, two sisters, Ruth Aye and Beryl DeVore, and a granddaughter, Lisa Mills.
