Dena, George, Amanda, Clara M., Martin, Hannah Alice, Ora Amelia and Martha were born to this union. The following is from the Lennox Diamond Jubilee Book. Mr. and Mrs. Ole A. Lee were among the well-known pioneer settlers of this vicinity. Mr. Lee was born at Springdale, Wis., March 15, 1856, and there he spent his early years and subsequently married at Klevenville to Miss Andrena Haugen, March 30, 1879. In May, 1881, Mr. Lee came to Dakota Territory and homesteaded three and one-half miles northwest of Lennox. His wife and two children later abandoned their home in the Badger state and came to join Mr. Lee, arriving on June 24 of that year. In addition to his farming operations, Mr. Lee hauled cream for three years, for a firm here who operated a creamery in the pioneer days. He became active in current affairs and served as township clerk and school board member for many years. He was also a licensed veterinarian and for 25 years carried on an extensive practice. Mr. Lee died February 26, 1939 at he age of 82 years, 11 months and 11 days. Mrs. Lee – nee Andrena Haugen – was born at Valdres, Norway, September 23, 1855, and in 1877 came to the United States with her sister, locating in Klevenville, WI, where she worked for several months and later at Madison, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Lee, members of the West Prairie Lutheran church, enjoyed a wedding partnership of nearly 59 years. Mrs. Lee attained the age of 82 years, four months and 11 days at the time of her death in 1937. Eight children were born to this union, one of whom passed away in infancy. The seven surviving children included: Mrs. Tron Tronson, Worthing (S. D.); George at home; Mrs. P. M. Wierenga, Lennox; Martin Lee, Flandreau (S. D.) Mrs. H. S. Hursch, Canton, Ohio; Mrs. T. H. Halverson, Harlowtown, Montana, and Mrs. J. C. Krepps, Monongahela, Penn. There are 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
