Description	:	Ole P Sorgen Born Ole Andreassen at Nyork U Blåvarp, Vestre Toten, Oppland, Norway, Ole came to America with his Parents Andreas Pederssen and Helene Olsdatter and his five older siblings, in 1862. They first settled in Rock Run Township, Stephenson County, Illinois. Ole, age 11, moved with his family in 1871 to Hayward, Minnesota where he grew to his majority. On May 15, 1888 he married Hannah Fodness in Albert Lea. April 6, 1889 their first child Clarence was born in Hayward. They first settled in Rock Run Township, Stephenson County, Illinois. Ole, age 11, moved with his family in 1871 to Hayward, Minnesota where he grew to his majority. On May 15, 1888 he married Hannah Fodness in Albert Lea. April 6, 1889 their first child Clarence was born in Hayward. Ole, Hannah, Clarence and Ole's Parents and his brother Anton then moved to Grafton North Dakota staying for only a year before moving again to Presho, Lyman County, South Dakota. They homesteaded a piece of land three miles west of Presho on Medicine Creek. Andreas' and Helene's Homestead was across the road to the north and Anton's was a half mile to the west. Ole and Hannah would have ten children while in Lyman County. In 1909, after years of hard times Ole and family moved to Holden, Alberta, Canada. Here they had one more child Eugene Kenneth and adopted Robert Reginald. They farmed until the fall of 1947 when Ole and Hannah moved into town (Holden). Ole died April 10, 1948 at the age of 87. Ole and Hannah would speak Norwegian when they did not want their grandchildren to know what they were saying. Ole would also talk to the horses in Norwegian when he was trying to catch them. ∼Ole Sorgen is buried in the Holden Cemetery Memorial #48934959
